Co-Founders Jessica and Anton established Beyond in 2018 with an ambition to transcend the dark and anti-social side of gaming by creating welcoming and engaging virtual experiences where everyone can belong. Driven by the question: “When you can build any world you want, why not make it better?" they took on the status quo by using new technologies to make more socially inclusive games.

Oddball

Beyond successfully launched the free-roam multiplayer VR game Oddball and then, in a world first, developed the ability for mobile gamers to participate in Oddball from anywhere via their 5G mobile phone—a development that won them Spark's 5G Starter Fund. Then, in partnership with Wētā Workshop, they went on to produce the unreleased, family-friendly multiplayer VR game Combonauts.

But they still longed for more.

To evolve the game plan further and find better ways to promote social connection and belonging, Beyond went beyond traditional gaming platforms and concepts and forged into new areas like Web3. They delivered the sell-out NFT collection of Fluf Burrows in 2022 and are currently working on a gamified virtual world built in partnership with Chibi Labs, as well as Beyond's first independent collectable project—a fully-rigged, 3D character collection that integrates with virtual realms.

By staying hungry in the business of new generation, immersive virtual experiences, Beyond continues to serve the people of Earth with joyful virtual worlds where everyone can belong.
